  Peoria has an active community. On the second Sunday morning of each month, there is a potluck breakfast followed by a devotional. Any religion can join to pray together for the world! We begin at 9:30 with everyone eating their breakfast and enjoying uplifted conversations followed by the devotional portion which begins by 10:30am!  Zoom and in person options available. This is a time for women to get together and have elevated conversations about social justice, service/volunteer opportunities, and discuss the book they are currently reading. Spirituality Café is an event open to our entire community and beyond, hosted each Sunday at 3:00 pm, whose purpose is to inspire us to transform our lives, our neighborhoods and our communities with actions that promote the unity and betterment of society.   The Bab ("bahb") was the forerunner to the Baha'i Faith. He was born in Iran in 1819. He proclaimed His mission in 1844 and was martyred in 1850.   The Báb’s mission  was to prepare humanity for the coming of an age of transformation beyond anything the generation that heard Him would be able to understand. Their duty was to purify their hearts so that they could recognize the One for Whom the whole world was waiting and serve the establishment of  the Kingdom of God .  He announced the imminent advent of   “Him  whom God shall make manifest,” who would fulfill the prophecies of past religions and usher in a new global era of peace and unity. And that of course was Baha'u'llah. Peoria celebrated the 200th birthday of the Bab (which means 'the Gate')  at Rio Vista Recreational Center in Peoria, AZ on Sunday, October 27, 2019.
